ABOUT AVONDALE

Where Irish Heritage Meets Chicagoland Craftsmanship

Founded in 1986 as Custom Woodworking Inc. and reimagined as Avondale Custom Homes in 1992, Maurice McNally built the company on enduring principles of craftsmanship, integrity, and timeless design—values that remain at the heart of Avondale and are now carried forward by the next generation of the McNally family.
Inspired by his hometown street sign in County Armagh, Ireland, the Avondale identity is rooted in heritage and elevated through generations. By utilizing exceptional brick, stone, and fine woodworking, Avondale creates homes that span a range of architectural expressions—each defined by refined exteriors and bespoke interiors with handcrafted cabinetry and millwork—continuing a legacy of excellence through family and craft.

WHAT WE BUILD

Services Crafted with Distinction

New Home Construction

Truly custom homes built from the ground up. Wine cellars, home theaters, in-law quarters — handcrafted to tell your story, on vacant land or tear-downs.

Cabinetry & Millwork

Transform your space with single-source design, materials, and installation. Built-in studies, gourmet kitchens, bars, and ornate crown molding.

Additions

Second stories, extended living areas, and in-law quarters — seamlessly blended with original architecture while adding lasting value.

Design Services

Every exceptional space begins with thoughtful planning. Our design services focus on translating your vision into detailed layouts, material selections, and cohesive concepts that align with both aesthetics and functionality. From initial ideas to refined plans, we ensure every element is intentional and seamlessly connected.

Home Maintenance

A well-built home deserves consistent care. Our maintenance services help preserve the integrity, performance, and appearance of your home over time. From routine upkeep to seasonal adjustments, we ensure your home continues to function beautifully and efficiently year after year.

Remodels

Most often the kitchen is the first area to be remodeled in a home. Whether it be due to the need for more space or merely to enhance the entire look of the house, the kitchen can be a defining area of the home.

Outdoor Living Spaces

Avondale incorporates their old world craftsmanship with the outdoors, as they offer clients unique outdoor living areas. These spaces are perfect for entertaining and provide year round comfort despite traditional Midwest weather.
